Technical Skills

  • 3-8 years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or field engineering
  • Deep product knowledge in automation, controls, electrical distribution, or industrial systems
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, EtherNet/IP, Profibus)
  • CRM and sales pipeline management experience

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical buyers
  • Consultative selling approach — solution-focused, not product-pushing
  • Comfort presenting to engineers, plant managers, and C-suite simultaneously
  • Strong written communication for proposals and technical documentation

Education & Certifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field

Certifications:

PE license (plus), manufacturer application certifications, PMP a plus

  • +Experience selling Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Schneider Electric, or ABB product lines
  • +Familiarity with NFPA 70E, UL listings, and safety standards
  • +Knowledge of energy efficiency and power quality applications
