What Does a Project Manager Responsible For?

- Lead OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings and maintain project documentation

Project Manager Qualifications & Requirements
Technical Skills
- •Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- •5–12 years of AEC project experience
- •Proficiency in Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam
- •Experience with GMP contracts, lump sum, and design-build delivery methods
- •Strong command of budget management, cost reporting, and financial forecasting
- •Ability to manage subcontractor scopes, RFI logs, submittal logs, and change order processes
- •Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and field safety compliance requirements

- •Strong owner and client communication — ability to manage expectations at the executive level

Education & Certifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field required. Equivalent field experience considered at some firms.

PMP (Project Management Professional) a plus. LEED AP, AGC CM-Lean, or DBIA credential valued. OSHA 30-hour required or preferred at most GC/CM firms.
