MEP Engineer Qualifications & Requirements
Technical Skills
- •Proficient in Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, or similar design software
- •Knowledge of load calculations (HVAC Manual J/D, electrical NEC)
- •Understanding of building codes (IMC, IPC, IECC, NEC, NFPA)
- •Energy modeling software (HAP, Trane TRACE, eQuest)
- •Specification writing and construction documentation
- •3-7 years of MEP engineering experience
- •PE license preferred or EIT pursuing licensure
